Great Article

I don't normally read USATODAY.com, but when it pertains to my business, I must.

Hmmm. Seems to me that for a regular consumer it's never a good idea to try and buy tickets right when they go onsale.

Instead it's better to just go to the event and by tickets there from a scalper.

Also they'll be cheaper, better seats that way.

Is this theory true?

Yes, I always tell people to wait until the day of the event, as tickets are always available. Case in point, I went and saw Margaret Cho do Stand-Up on Friday night, sat 2nd row center. I am going to see David Byrne tonight (Tuesday) front row center. The toughest part, as a consumer, is figuring out who will get the tickets at the last minute, and then to buy them from that person.

Hung, have you tried posting those seats for sale on stubhub.com? Take a look there and see what comparable seats are selling for. U2 should not be a soft ticket. I'll ask around and see if anyone I know is interested.
